Veteran Bollywood filmmaker Ramesh Sippy was conferred with the lifetime achievement honour at the 65th Amazon Filmfare Awards 2020. The ace director and producer is known for his immense and massive contribution to cinema since over four decades. Akshay Kumar and Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal presented the award to Ramesh Sippy at the award ceremony. Ramesh Sippy’s most popular work is Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra starrer ‘Sholay’ which hit the screens in 1975. The action adventure drama also featured Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan and Sanjeev Kumar in pivotal roles.
